Implanting Goals

If you are just starting out, or are following your goals, this article will help you.If you haven't written out your goals yet, then you need to start. Goals help you focus, and focusing on your goals lead to achievement.

This article is about implanting your goals into your life. Without any modifications in your goals, you are taking a passive approach to goal setting. When you set your goals, it consists of a main concept, that you may be the greatest artist that ever existed; or to be the wealthiest person on the planet. There are steps that must be taken to get you to that goal. So, reachable mini goals are created that will lead you to your main goal. Mini goals are the foundation to achieving your main goal. Once reached, those mini goals don't ever go away; and that is the misconception, especially in the music industry.

Your goals should be a part of your every day life. Look at the life of a baby. First, it learned to crawl, then walk, then run; later learned to ride a bike, and drive a car. Simultaneously, during all those developmental growth milestones, it still had to develop in other areas; eating, drinking, talking, bathing, and reading, just to function. This baby is now an adult, who can walk, talk, and think like an adult because of it's developmental goals. Those achieved goals did not go away; they became a part of it's life. This baby, that turned into an adult, created an organized routine, from it's development to exist. And all of those developmental goals remained.

Your achieved goals will stay with you forever. If your goal is to make money as an songwriter/artist, you must learn to play an instrument, sing, or dance. In order for you to do that, you must learn how to do those things, and that takes practice. Practice is a function of your goals. Implanting the act of practicing will be as routine as bathing or walking and something that you will be doing for your entire career. It is important that you learn how to make your goals a part of your life.

Treat your goals as a fundamental development to your existence, because every achievable goal, will lead you to achieve milestones.
